What should have been in the LZH file:
PURGER.PRG The Disk Purger program.
PURGER.MAN This file.
This program erases all the files on a floppy disk, FAST. No matter how
many files are on the disk, they are deleted in less than five seconds.
Caution should be exercised in using this program. Once a disk has been
purged, there is no way to recover the information--not even with
UNDELETE.
The program runs from any resolution. After dispensing with the initial
alert box, you will have three options: Purge, Files, and Exit. Purge
performs the actual disk erasing; you will be asked for confirmation.
Files will give you a directory of the disk, in case you're unsure which
disk is which. And Exit will allow yuo to exit the program.
Please note that if you Purge a disk, and do a Files immediately after,
the files appear to be intact. This is not the case. GEM just doesn't
have the sense to realize that the disk has been erased. Removing the
disk and re-inserting it cures the problem.
You might also want to look for another one of my programs, DOUBLER. It
takes single-sided disks and converts them to double-sided disks without
damaging any of the files on the disk. It is available on GEnie by the
name of DOUBLER.LZH, or on the Freedom Network, (402) 597-2811.
